Stage and screen star Missi Pyle has just signed on for Anna Elizabeth James's directorial debut EMMA'S CHANCE. Also joining the cast is MELISSA & JOEY's Joey Lawrence, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Previously announced Greer Grammar stars in the movie, which follows "a young girl named Emma who has to perform community service at a horse rescue ranch. While at the ranch, she forms an unlikely bond with an abused horse named Chance, who changes her life, and gives her the strength to stand up for herself and against a menacing foe of the horse rescue." James will direct from her own script.
Pyle will portray 'Susan Peirce', who founded the Red Bucket Equine Rescue. No word on who Lawrence will play. Also in the company are Jennifer Taylor, Ryan McCartan, Lia Marie Johnson, Christina Robinson and Amber Montana.
EMMA'S CHANCE begins production this fall.
Pyle has PANDEMIC, CAPTAIN FANTASTIC, UNCLE NICK, SLASH, KISS ME, HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL, MILES and GRANITE RAPIDS MOON in her film queue. The actress last starred off-Broadway in BARE in 2012 and before that appeared on Broadway in BOEING-BOEING. She has recently appeared on TV in BORDERTOWN, ANOTHER PERIOD, WHOLE DAY DOWN, TWO AND A HALF MEN, JENNIFER FALLS and more.
Lawrence is known for his lead role in the sit-com MELISSA & JOEY and will soon be seen on the big screen in SAVED BY GRACE.
