Digital music star Mike Tompkins has created a music video that reimagines the classic song "Do Re Mi," one of the iconic numbers that will be part of NBC's Dec. 5 (8-11 p.m. ET/PT) telecast of "The Sound of Music Live!"

The video - directed by Tompkins, who stars alongside musician Chester See - recreates the song that includes not only superstar recording artist Carrie Underwood (Maria), Stephen Moyer (Capt. Georg von Trapp) and Christian Borle (Max Dettweiler), but more than 700 fans from around the world who also participated.

A sneak peek of the video will premiere tonight on E! News (7 p.m. ET/PT) and viewable at www.YouTube.com/ChesterSee, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The video was collaboration of Tompkins, NBC Digital Entertainment and MakerMADE, the in-house creative agency of Maker Studios.

Producer-songwriter Tompkins is well known for creating unique songs and sounds using only his voice and mouth. He has served as a producer and writer with Timbaland, toured with the Jonas Brothers, and been featured on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Today."

See, who has appeared on the Disney Channel, is best known for his self-titled Youtube channel that features sketches, shorts, music and vlogs.

Maker Studios is a next-generation media and technology company and the world's largest provider of online video content for millennials with more than 4.5 billion monthly video views globally. Its in-house agency MakerMADE specializes in conversational marketing driven by user participation, such as this unique collection of audience recall and response with Tompkins and See.

The companion soundtrack to NBC's live broadcast will be available online and in stores on Dec. 3 from Sony Masterworks. "The Sound of Music" - Music From the NBC Television Event" will include studio recordings for all of the musical numbers that are performed by the cast in the live broadcast, including Rodgers and Hammerstein favorites "The Sound of Music," "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," among others. The soundtrack is licensed through the NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group.

"The Sound of Music Live!" is based on the stage version of the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.

From Universal Television, "The Sound of Music" is executive produced by Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. Beth McCarthy-Miller and Rob Ashford serve as directors.
