Mikaela Shiffrin Expected To Make Pyeongchang Olympics Debut Tonight  Image

Tonight's primetime Winter Olympics coverage live across all time zones on NBC continues at 8 p.m. ET, as Mikaela Shiffrin is expected to contend for gold in women's giant slalom in her delayed PyeongChang debut. Her first run will take place in primetime, while the final run of women's giant slalom will air in "Primetime Plus," beginning at 12:05 a.m. ET. In speed skating's 1000m gold medal final, American Heather Bergsma, who won gold in this event at last season's World Single Distance Championships, and teammate Brittany Bowe, the 2015 world champion in this event, are expected to contend.

Primetime coverage on NBC also includes two-time U.S. champion pairs' duo Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim returning to the ice for the pairs' free skate, the men's downhill competition, and the first run of the men's skeleton competition.

"Primetime Plus" coverage at 12:05 a.m. ET features men's snowboard cross. The U.S. is expected to be represented by Hagen Kearney, who had a breakout season in 2017, and Jonathan Cheever. Coverage will also include the second run of the men's skeleton competition.

NBCSN's coverage continues at 7 p.m. ET with ET by Liam McHugh and 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White hosting Olympic Ice alongside analyst and 1984 Olympic FIGURE SKATING gold medalist Scott Hamilton. The hour-long studio show previews the day's Olympic FIGURE SKATING action while also providing viewers with analysis and highlights of the previous night's competition. Live coverage of Team USA hockey highlights NBCSN's coverage tonight at 10:10 p.m. ET, when two-time Olympic silver medalist Hilary Knight, captain Meghan Duggan, and 2017 world championship MVP Brianna DECKER lead the U.S. against rival Canada. Team USA looks to avenge a 3-2 overtime loss to Canada at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

CNBC continues its daily Olympic CURLING coverage, as the women's tournament gets underway with the Nina Roth skipped U.S. team vs. Japan at 5 p.m. ET, followed by live coverage of the men's tournament as Finland takes on Germany.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15

**NOTE Change in Thursday Night Primetime and "Primetime Plus" Time Windows**

Thursday's primetime coverage live across all time zones on NBC begins at 8 p.m. ET, highlighted by men's FIGURE SKATING as American Nathan Chen, the first skater to land five quadruple jumps in a single program, leads a talented and experienced field of international skaters. Chen will face tough competition from defending Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu and teenager Shomo Uno, who placed first and second, respectively, at the World Championships in April. Adam Rippon, a member of the team that captured bronze earlier this week in the team event, and Vincent Zhou, the 2017 World junior champion, will also represent the U.S. Live coverage also includes the finals runs of men's skeleton as Sochi bronze medalist Matt Antoine is expected be the top competitor for the U.S. alongside teammate John Daly.

Primetime coverage also presents live coverage of the men's super-G in alpine skiing, Sochi silver medalist Lindsey Jacobellis in the women's snowboard cross, and the qualifying rounds in women's aerials as reigning world champion Ashley Caldwell and 2015 World Cup champion Kiley McKinnon could contend for podium spots.

"Primetime Plus" coverage at 11:35 p.m. ET features the luge team replay, with the U.S. looking to build off a sixth-place finish from Sochi. In biathlon's men's 20km, the U.S. is expected to be led by Lowell Bailey, who won this event at the 2017 World Championships.

NBC's daytime coverage on Thursday kicks off at 3 p.m. ET with four-time world medalist Jessie Digginslooking to become the first U.S. woman to win an Olympic medal in cross-country skiing, followed by speed skating's men's 10,000m.

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Primetime):

  • Figure Skating - With technical skills that belie his age, 18-year-old Nathan Chen is among figure skating's most extraordinary talents. The Salt Lake City native, whose program features multiple quadruple jumps, brings podium potential to the men's free skate against an experienced field that includes defending champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan.
  • Alpine Skiing - American Lindsey Vonn, 33, could become alpine skiing's oldest female Olympic medalist with a podium effort in the super-G.
  • Freestyle Skiing - Reigning world champion Ashley Caldwell and Kiley McKinnon give Team USA a pair of medal contenders in the women's aerials freestyle skiing event.
  • Skeleton - The women's skeleton competition gets underway with runs 1 and 2.

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Daytime):

  • Speed Skating - At age 45, Claudia Pechstein of Germany could become speed skating's oldest-ever Olympic medalist with a podium finish in the women's 5000m.
  • Cross-Country Skiing - Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway and Dario Cologna of Switzerland headline the field in the men's 15km freestyle.
  • Ski Jumping - Poland's Kamil Stoch begins pursuit of back-to-back ski jumping golds in the men's individual large hill event (qualifying).

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Primetime Plus):

  • Freestyle Skiing - Devin Logan and U.S. teammate Maggie Voisin are medal contenders in women's slopestyle. Four years ago in Sochi, Logan earned silver, but Voisin, at age 15, had to withdraw after suffering an injury while training prior to the start of competition.

NBCSN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hockey - Olympic Athletes from Russia face Slovenia in a Group B men's hockey game. Sweden faces Germany in a Group C men's hockey game. Game of the Day (teams TBD). Two-time defending champion Canada faces the Czech Republic in a Group A men's hockey match-up.
  • Curling - Sweden takes on Olympic Athletes from Russia in round-robin women's CURLING action. South Korea takes on Switzerland in round-robin women's CURLING action. Team USA takes on Olympic Athletes from Russia in a round-robin women's CURLING match.
  • Skeleton - Jacqueline Loelling begins her attempt to give Germany - long a force in bobsled and luge - its first Olympic gold in skeleton, as the women's event gets underway with runs 1 and 2 (of 4).

  • Figure Skating - FIGURE SKATING coverage features early groups of the men's free skate. Liam McHugh will host Olympic Ice Presented by Toyota, a live, daily FIGURE SKATING show. He will be joined by co-host Tanith White and analyst Scott Hamilton for in-depth coverage of all things Figure Skating, including a preview of the men's free skate.

USA HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hockey - Finland faces off with Norway as Group C men's hockey action continues.

CNBC HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Curling - Team USA takes on Denmark in round-robin men's CURLING action.
