Actress Maya Sayre helps to weave the mystery recurring as 'Heidi' in the new CBS ALL ACCESS original series, ONE DOLLAR, premiering Thursday, August 30th.

ONE DOLLAR is set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town's SECRETS get revealed.

Sayre emerges as 'Heidi' during the first episode, along with the series stars: John Carroll Lynch, Nathaniel Martello-White, Chris Denham, Philip Ettinger, Kirrilee Berger, Gracie Lawrence, Joshua Bitton, Ník? Uche Kadri, Hamilton Clancy and Leslie Odom Jr. among others. The 10-episode series comes from director Craig Zobel (Compliance, The Leftovers) and writer Jason Mosberg, who also executive produce along with Matt DeRoss and Alexandre Dauman.

Sayre was excited at the opportunity to be part of this thrilling new tale, sharing "Working with director Craig Zobel was such a joy. He really let the actors breathe and he found a way for each of us to play, while still honoring the script. I was also lucky enough to get to improv a little with Leslie Odom Jr, which was BEYOND fun!"

Originally from Ohio, Sayre has been building a solid reputation since landing in Los Angeles. She has appeared in celebrated films of all sizes, from George Clooney's Oscar-nominated film The Ides of March, to the indie project The Yank, winner of 'Best Comedy Feature' at the Manhattan Film Fest. She previously landed on the small screen in The Hallmark Channel's holiday rom-com movie, The Christmas Spirit; and audiences can catch her online in two seasons of the acclaimed sci-fi series, Aidan 5.

In addition, Sayre's singing skills were recently showcased with theatrical appearances in a staged reading of the new musical Doc Holliday by David Chisholm directed by Rick Sparks, and performances of Healing Retreat: the musical at The New York Musical Festival. Sayre holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Otterbein University.
