In an interview with today's Digitalspy.com, Glee star Matthew Morrison revealed that he hopes the romance between the show's Kurt and Blaine does not lead to marriage on the upcoming season. Season four concluded with an impending marriage proposal by Darren Criss' 'Blaine' to his on-again, off-again romantic partner Kurt, portrayed by Chris Colfer.

Morrison, who plays choir leader Will Schuester, explained he is opposed to the potential union, "not [because of] a gay or a straight thing", but because he thinks the characters are do not have the maturity to handle a marriage.

"I don't think anybody should get married that young," he said. "It's not a gay or a straight thing, it's just being young, too young. I don't think anyone should get married until they're in their 30s.

"Probably the most growth you'll ever have in your life [is in] high school and your 20s, because you're kind of living on your own for the first time. There is so much exploration to do and self-exploration and I don't think anyone should be getting married that young."

Morrison recently released his new album Where It All Began, which is now available.
