In an interview with ContactMusic.com, Glee star Matthew Morrison shared that he believes his fellow cast mates are over the 'hump' following the emotional tribute episode to late actor Cory Monteith, who passed away from an accidental drug overdose in July.

Though Morrison admits shooting the October episode was 'hard and emotional', he believes the tragic event brought the cast closer than ever before. 'We've kind of got over that hump of the Cory tribute episode," the actor explained. "I'm so happy we did that, it was incredibly tough, hard and emotional for everyone but we all came together, we were happy to be on the other side of that."

He continued, 'We're a family and we all have a great relationship with each other, but that just really solidified us and made us stronger.'

Morrison was set to appear in a concert when he heard the tragic news of Monteith's death. While at first he considered cancelling the show, he decided to move ahead with it and pay tribute to his co-star and close friend, a move he describes as 'therapeutic'.

As he explained to Britain's OK! magazine, 'I had two shows after he passed and thought about cancelling them but I didn't want to let people down, I didn't think Cory would want me to," adding, "The shows were so hard to do but I'm happy I did because there is nothing more therapeutic than singing."

Emmy-, Golden Globe- and Tony-nominated actor Matthew Morrison recently released his second studio album, "Where It All Began." The actor came to national prominence through his role as the perpetually optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester on FOX TV's "Glee," but the Southern California native was turning heads years earlier on the Great White Way in such memorable shows as South Pacific. His new album is a collection of standards, many first made famous in Broadway musicals.
