According to Deadline, Emmy nominee Matt Bomer has signed on to join Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in Shane Black's upcoming drama THE NICE GUYS.
The film "takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, and Gosling plays a detective hired by a gangster (Crowe) to find a missing girl. In the process, he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy, and that is where Bomer's character comes in. The studio also set Margaret Qually, star of HBO's The Leftovers, to play the lead female role, the daughter of a corrupt chief justice who figures in the scandal."
Known to television viewers the world over as White Collar's Neal Caffrey, Mr. Bomer won a Critics' Choice Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of Felix Turner in HBO's critically acclaimed screen adaptation of The Normal Heart. Based on the Tony Award winning Larry Kramer play about the AIDS epidemic in New York in the 1980's, the movie also starred Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and Jim Parsons, and was directed by Ryan Murphy.
