Matt Bomer is set to guest star on NBC's freshman comedy THE NEW NORMAL. The actor will potray "legendary party boy 'Monty'" in the January 8th episode entitled 'The Goldie Rush'.
According to NBC's synopsis of the episode: Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) discuss their future and how big they want to grow their family," according to press notes for the upcoming program. The conversation leads them back to Expanding Families where Gary (guest-star Michael Hitchcock) reveals that he wants a family of his OWN but he can't seem to find the right guy.
Bryan and David play matchmakers and set him up with Bryan's ex-boyfriend and legendary party boy Monty (guest star Matt Bomer, 'White Collar'), but their plan leads to more than they bargained for when Monty asks Goldie (Georgia King) to be his surrogate. Elsewhere, Rocky (NeNe Leakes) and Jane (Ellen Barkin) help Shania (Bebe Wood) deal with some mean girls.
Bomer recently guest starred in Ryan Murphy's musical drama series Glee, playing the brother of Darren Criss. He was also recently cast in Murphy's upcoming film adaptation of Larry Kramer's award-winning play 'The Normal Heart' along with actors Julia Roberts and Jim Parsons. He also appeared in the one-night-only reading of Dustin Lance Black's Prop 8-themed play, 8.
