According to EWonline, actress Mary McCormack will be starring in a currently untitled ABC comedy pilot this fall.
The actress will play the role of 'Hilary", described as "a powerful female executive who suddenly finds herself as a stay-at-home mom with teenage kids and and with no idea how to function in her new role." The project is from Kari Lizer, writer and producer of the New Adventures of Old Christine and Warner Bros. TV.
Mary McCormack appeared in the role of 'Gretchen' in the 2008 Broadway production of Boeing-Boeing, co-starring Christine Baranski, Mark Rylance and Bradley Whitford. Her breakout performance as Howard Stern's wife in his film Private Parts led to roles on the hit series "The West Wing" and "ER", the films K-Pax, Deep Impact and Stephen King's 1408 and the USA Network series "In Plain Sight." She also co-starred with Alan Cumming in the recent Broadway revival of Cabaret.
