Deadline.com reports that the proposed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff that was canceled earlier in the year is apparently back on. ABC has given a pilot order to Marvel's Most Wanted, a drama project starring Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. standouts Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood and revolving around their respective characters Barbara "Bobbi" Morse, aka Mockingbird, and Lance Hunter.
The drama had been developed quietly last season by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski. ABC put the brakes on the project in early May, just before the upfronts.
Marvel's Most Wanted is looking to join ABC/Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D., which is returning for a third season, and Agent Carter, which again will bridged S.H.I.E.L.D.'s half-seasons with its second installment.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is an American television series created for ABC by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen, based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), a fictional peacekeeping and spy agency in a world populated with superheroes and numerous supernatural phenomena. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The series is produced by ABC Studios, Marvel Television, and Mutant Enemy Productions, with Jed Whedon, Tancharoen, and Jeffrey Bell serving as showrunners.
