Martin Short and Maya Rudolph to Bring New Variety Show to NBC

NBC has picked up a new comedy showcase from SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE veterans.

A long buzzed about rumor, Martin Short and Maya Rudolph's variety show will finally kick off in May, backed by SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and 30 ROCK producer Lorne Michaels. MAYA AND MARTY IN MANHATTAN has no official description yet, but it's safe to say we all hope that it will show more promise than Neil Patrick Harris' disappointing attempt at the genre.

With a trial run via Maya Rudolph's one-time 2014 special, MAYA AND MARTY IN MANHATTAN is supposed to be a modern take on THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW.
