Martin Sheen to Star in Netflix Original Series

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Martin Sheen is heading to Netflix. He will be starring in an upcoming original Netflix series alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. In the 13 episode series, Sheen will be playing Fonda's husband.

The series, GRACE ANF FRANKIE, is a single-camera comedy which follows the story of Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin). Their worlds are turned upside down when their husbands announce that they are in love with each other and plan to marry.

GRACE AND FRANKIE is slated for 2015.

Sheen's upcoming big screen projects include The Boxcar Children, Undisovered Gyrl, Badge of Honor, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Trash and The Autopsy of Jane Doe. He has also recently appeared on TV in his son Charlie Sheen's series Anger Management. He is well known for his portrayal of President Jed Bartlet on The West Wing.

The actor has appeared on Broadway in The Crucible, Julius Caesar, Death of a Salesman, The Subject Was Roses (for which he received a Tony nomination in 1965) and Never Live Over a Pretzel Factory, as well as off-Broadway's Hello and Goodbye, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The Wicked Cooks.
