Mark-Paul Gosselaar will appear as a guest star on 'Weeds,' eonline.com reports. Gosselaar will play Jack, a bar owner who becomes involved with Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker). He will appear in the Showtime series's sixth season, which will begin on August 6 at 10pm.
'Weeds,' which first aired in August 2005, deals with Nancy Botwin, a suburban widow who sells marijuana to maintain her lifestyle. The show has been nominated for nineteen Emmy Awards and ten Golden Globe Awards. In addition to Broadway veteran Parker (PROOF, RECKLESS, PRELUDE TO A KISS), who won a Golden Globe Award for her performance on the show, 'Weeds' stars Elizabeth Perkins, Hunter Parrish, Alexander Gould, and Allie Grant.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar's television credits include 'Saved by the Bell,' 'NYPD Blue,' and 'Raising the Bar.' On stage, he appeared in the New York premiere of THE UNDERSTUDY.
