Mandy Moore (Not Kristin Chenoweth) Confirmed As Voice of Disney's Rupunzel

John Lasseter, representing the large Disney Animation / Pixar presentation this morning confirmed that Mandy Moore (not Kristin Chenoweth as rumored) will voice Rapunzel in the upcoming Disney animated film.

This will be the 50th animated feature for Disney's catalog, the first computer-animated fairytale, and first CG musical. Zachary Levi will voIce The roguish bandit named Flynn Rider who becomes Rapunzel's love interest. "There's a lot of girl power in this movie," according to Lasseter.

The storyboarded sequences revealed at the conference with very short bits of completed animation, show Rapunzel using her hair as a whip like Indiana Jones, a rope to shimmy down, and an acrobatics tool.  No presentation of the musical elements were made, but are much anticipated.
