Lauren Ambrose, who currently stars on Broadway in MY FAIR LADY, has been cast as the lead role in M. Night Shyamalan's untitled psychological thriller at Apple, according to Deadline.
The show will follow parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who hire young nanny Leanne Grayson to help care for their newborn baby. The series is a half-hour project and it received a 10-episode series order back in February.
Ambrose has been cast to play Dorothy in the series. Game of Thrones' Nell Tiger Free will co-star as Leanne.
Ambrose is currently starring as Eliza Doolittle in the Broadway revival of MY FAIR LADY at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. She received a 2018 Tony Award nomination for her role as Eliza. It is unknown whether or not this series will affect her time in MY FAIR LADY.
Ambrose is best known on TV for starring as Claire Fisher in SIX FEET UNDER. She could also be seen in Torchwood, Dig, and Fox's revival of The X-Files.
