MTV, a unit of Viacom Inc., (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), today unveiled a world premiere look at its reimagining of the beloved horror franchise "Scream," premiering Tuesday, June 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, and "The Shannara Chronicles," an ambitious fantasy drama currently shooting in New Zealand. The two series headline a slate of 8 new and 10 returning series and more than 85 series in development, some of which were previewed at the 2015 MTV Upfront at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

"We're exploding our development process across screens - getting faster, more daring, putting more projects into play and taking bigger swings than ever," said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. "We've exponentially expanded the ways we connect with our audience and deliver for our advertisers."

MTV announced it greenlit new series "Middle of the Night Show," a reinvention of the late-night comedy talk show developed with CollegeHumor production studio Big Breakfast. The network also unveiled reality series "Todrick," featuring Youtube phenom Todrick Hall, and "Follow the Rules," a comedic look at the family life of rapper Ja Rule; as well as the live action/animated hybrid series "Greatest Party Story Ever" and weekly talk show "Girl Code Live." Additionally, MTV renewed "Broke A$$ Game Show" for a sophomore season and "Are You The One?" for a third season. Fan-favorite "Faking It" received a third season renewal (3A) in advance of its second season (2B) premiere on Monday, August 31.

"This slate demonstrates the creative breadth of what MTV can do - epic scripted dramas, irreverent comedies, inventive format-driven series, fun topical talk shows, all with a distinct, youthful voice," said Susanne Daniels, President of Programming for MTV.

MTV also announced that hip hop superstar T-Pain, G.O.O.D. Music recording artist Teyana Taylor and television and Broadway performer Frankie Grande will judge the all-star season of "America's Best Dance Crew: Road to the VMAs," premiering Wednesday, July 29. The new "America's Best Dance Crew All Stars: Road to the VMAs" will be hosted by Jason Dundas ("Entertainment Tonight").

Recently, MTV has expanded the "Always On" initiative to create live, multiplatform programming events, from its "MLK IS NOW" pro-social campaign in January to the "Beyoncé-thon" Guinness World Record-breaking dance relay marathon in Times Square last month.
