MTV today announced that MTV News and the "Power of 12" election campaign will broadcast special, live political newsbreaks regularly throughout Election Night tomorrow, November 6, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT on MTV and mtvU, in addition to ongoing news coverage throughout Election Day on MTV.com. Sway Calloway will report from MTV studios in New York, Andrew Jenks will cover the election from Chicago, and James Montgomery will be on-the-ground in Boston, keeping young people updated on the latest Election Day news and results on-air and online at MTV.com. Additionally, MTV will live-tweet during Election Day @MTV, the logo on all MTV channels in the U.S. will go red, white and blue, and the network will run an ongoing message on-air that reminds young people to #GoVote.

Building on MTV's nearly 20-year Emmy and Peabody Award-winning political legacy with "Choose or Lose," MTV's "Power of 12" campaign is built specifically to reflect the Millennial generation and changes in the economic and political climate, and is designed to empower them to have a major impact on Election Day and beyond. 45 million 18-29 year olds will be eligible to vote in the 2012 election, representing the largest potential voting bloc in the country.
