On the heels of a stellar season of "The Challenge: Rivals II," MTV today announced that the hit competition series will start production this Fall, for its 25th season of the franchise, in an undisclosed location. Past locales have included Thailand, Brazil, Dominican Republic and more. The new season is slated to air in 2014. "The Challenge: Rivals II" pitted enemy alongside enemy and asked the question: what do you care about more - old grudges or big money? While some rivalries were years in the making, others were just boiling to the surface.

With a first time win for fan favorite CT, the finale was up 54 percent from last season's "The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons" finale, drawing in a strong 2.0 P12-34 rating and 2.2 million total viewers. The overall season ratings were up 27 percent vs. the previous year, averaging a 1.9 P12-34 rating and 2.1 million total viewers. Additionally, accounting for the audience's shifting viewing habits (Live+SD vs. Live+3), the average ratings for the season increased 36 percent (1.4 Live+SD vs. 1.9 Live+3 among P12-34).
