MSNBC will premiere a new documentary, "The Politics of Power with Chris Hayes", Friday, August 16th at 8PM ET. Chris Hayes, host of MSNBC's "All In", partners with MSNBC's Long Form unit in producing a call to action on climate change. The documentary looks at how, almost a year after Superstorm Sandy, America and the world dangles on the precipice of future drastic weather and oceanic events resulting from our CO2 laden climate - and what needs to be done to prevent us going into the abyss.
The hour includes both documentary reporting and in-depth one-on-one interviews with some of the experts on the issue of climate change including: Michael Oppenheimer, former chief scientist for the Environmental Defense Fund and now a professor of Geosciences at Princeton; Steven Coll, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and author of a new book on ExxonMobil; Jigar Shah, a leading renewable energy entrepreneur; Carol Browner, who headed the EPA for President Clinton and was the former director on Climate Change Policy for President Obama; and Bill McKibben, head of 350.org, one of the leading organizations committed to stopping global warming.Videos
