MSNBC Announces 2016 Iowa Caucus Coverage

The Iowa caucuses officially kick off a year stacked with "huge" political nights on MSNBC, the Place for Politics.

Decision 2016 coverage starts in Iowa on Monday, February 1. Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams will anchor from New York beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Chris Matthews will lead the team on the ground in Des Moines, alongside Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd.

"Morning Joe" will also be live from Java Joes in Des Moines on Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2, plus a special afternoon edition airing on caucus day.

MSNBC's Decision 2016 team in New York will include Steve Kornacki, who will track caucus precinct results in real time, and a panel of MSNBC hosts and contributors including Lawrence O'Donnell, Nicolle Wallace, and The Washington Post's Eugene Robinson.

Reporting live from campaign headquarters and caucus sites across Iowa will be Chris Hayes, Kasie Hunt, Hallie Jackson, Chris Jansing, Katy Tur, and Kristen Welker.
