Oprah Winfrey stopped by The Book of Mormon for the July 16th evening performance, accompanied by best friend and radio host Gayle King. The media mogul was seen leaving the Eugene O'Neill Theater with a big smile on her face and an autographed Playbill in hand.
At the stage door on Sunday afternoon, Tony award winner Nikki M. James told fans she was quite nervous to perform in front of the former talk show host, yet said Ms. Winfrey was extremely gracious and seemed to enjoy the show immensely.
Having just completed 25 years as TV's resident talk show queen on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah will next serve as chief executive officer and chief creative officer of OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, beginning in the fall.
