Nominations for The London Film Critics' Circle Awards were announced this afternoon. Winners will be revealed on January 22, 2017 at the annual awards ceremony taking place at the May Fair Hotel in central London. Actors and filmmakers Alice Lowe and Steve Oram will return for the second time to host the event.

Barry Jenkins' MOONLIGHT and Whit Stillman's LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP lead this year's nominations with seven each, including nods for Film of the Year. Other top nominees included Maren Ade's TONI ERDMANN, Kenneth Lonergan's MANCHESTER BY THE SEA and Damien Chazell's LA LA LAND

LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP's Kate Beckinsale, MOONLIGHT's Naomie Harris, LA LA LANDS's Emma Stone were among the nominees for Best Actress, while HACKSAW RIDGE's Andrew Garfield and MANCHESTER BY THE SEA's Casey Affleck were among the nominees for Best Actor.
