NBC News' MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board on August 20, according to Nielsen data. 3.274 million total viewers tuned into Sunday's broadcast, which featured exclusive interviews with former Rep. J.C. Watts (R-Okla.) and civil rights leader Andrew Young. MTP beat ABC's "This Week" by 17 percent (+471,000) - its biggest advantage since May - and CBS' "Face the Nation" by three percent (+87,000).

MTP won its eighth consecutive week among A25-54 viewers, continuing its dominance in the demo most valued by news advertisers. With 942,000 demo viewers tuning into the program, MTP outperformed the competition by double-digits: 13 percent (+106,000) more than ABC and 24 percent (+180,000) more than CBS' half-hour.

Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its biggest audience growth compared to last season across the board: gaining two percent (+85,000) in total viewers and seven percent (+71,000) in the key demo.

In total viewers, MTP leads ABC by +435,000 and CBS by +32,000 total viewers - its best advantage over both networks in five years. In the key demo, MTP leads ABC by +209,000 (its best advantage in six years) and CBS by +234,000 A25-54 viewers (its largest margin in eight years).

The network broadcast also continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the influential Washington, D.C. market, beating the combined deliveries of the competition across the board and winning every Sunday in total viewers since March 22, 2015.

An additional 1.730 million total viewers and 428,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP this past Sunday through rebroadcasts on MSNBC.
