MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD Wins July Across The Board, #1 For Eighth Straight Month  Image

"Meet the Press with Chuck Todd" (MTP) was the most-watched Sunday show across the board for the month of July, according to Nielsen Media Research data, marking its eighth straight month at #1.

2.865 million total viewers tuned into MTP in July, ten percent (+266,000) more than ABC's "This Week" and eight percent (+209,000) more than CBS' "Face the Nation." This is MTP's best streak in over six years (since March 2012). July marks the 14th straight month MTP has beaten ABC and the eighth straight month MTP has beaten CBS in total viewers. Compared to last year, MTP improved its advantage over ABC by +36 percent (+70,000) and improved its margin over CBS by +283,000 - its biggest July advantages over ABC and CBS in seven years (since July 2011).

MTP continues to dominate the demo most valued by news advertisers, winning its tenth consecutive month at #1 among A24-54 viewers. 734,000 key demo viewers tuned in in July, as MTP beat its competition by double-digits: +15 percent (+93,000) more than ABC and +38 percent (+203,000) more than CBS. July is the tenth straight month MTP has beaten ABC and the 30th straight month MTP has beaten CBS in the key demo. Compared to last year, MTP improved its advantage over CBS by five percent (+9,000), posting its biggest July advantage over CBS in seven years (since April 2011). Compared to last month, MTP improved its advantage over ABC by +33 percent (+23,000) and CBS by seven percent (+14,000).

MTP was also the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, July 29, its best across-the-board streak in 17 weeks (since 3/11/2018).

This past Sunday's broadcast marks the show's seventh straight win across the board and featured exclusives interviews with Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg, who said he "would believe Don Jr. and the president" over President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen on the controversial 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

2.846 million total viewers tuned in: eight percent (+213,000) more than ABC and +15 percent (+373,000) more than CBS. This marks MTP's 11th straight win over ABC in total viewers and seventh straight win over CBS. Year over year, MTP improved its margin over CBS by +570,000 total viewers.

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 29th straight broadcast, beating ABC and CBS by double-digits. 699,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: ten percent (+62,000) more than ABC and +54 percent (+246,000) more than CBS. This is the broadcast's best streak in over seven years (since 3/06/2011). Year over year, MTP more than doubled its demo lead over CBS (+149,000).

An additional 943,000 total viewers and 218,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.

Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its biggest total viewer win over ABC in six years (since 2011-12) and CBS in seven years (since 2010-11).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers for more than three straight years (since March 22, 2015).
