Lukas Graham Performs 'Mama Said' on Conan / Earns MTV VMA Nod for Best New Artist

Lukas Graham have earned a well-deserved nomination for Best New Artist at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Voting is now live at www.mtv.com/vma/vote, and will remain open until the show is broadcast live from New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00pm ET/PT. The nomination is the latest milestone for the Danish quartet, whose debut single "7 Years" is Certified Triple Platinum. Yesterday, the band was presented with Triple Platinum plaques for "7 Years" at the Warner Bros. Records headquarters in Burbank, CA.

Lukas Graham's new single "Mama Said" is well on its way to matching the success of "7 Years." entering the Top 20 chart at Hot AC, and Top 25 at Top 40, with over 85 million streams on Spotify and over 33 million views on the official video. The band performed the song on CONAN last night and on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON last week.

Led by vocalist and songwriter Lukas Forchhammer, Lukas Graham has solidified their status as the breakout act of 2016. Their hit single "7 Years," has topped the charts around the world, reaching the #1 spot on both Top 40 and Hot AC radio and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, with over 500 million Spotify streams and counting.
