The CW has cancelled its new midseason dramedy LIFE SENTENCE. Star Lucy Hale shared the news with her fans on Twitter.
"I was emotionally attached to this story and to everyone involved so I'm a little shell shocked right now, but I feel fortunate that we got to tell a beautiful story," Hale wrote. "Somethings things don't resonate with the audience, and shows just don't work but I'm proud of what we accomplished & for the experience we had. LIFE SENTENCE was a show a lot of us needed, and I am BEYOND grateful for those who gave our show a chance."

Stella has spent the last eight years living like she was dying (because she was). But when she finds out that her cancer has been cured, she is suddenly forced to face the long-term consequences of the "live in the moment" decisions she made. With a REAL FUTURE suddenly in front of her, Stella's cinematic life snaps into reality, and instead of living like she's dying, she will have to learn to live like she's living, and help her family and friends do the same.
