EWonline reports that Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of the upcoming NBC series REVOLUTION from creator J.J. Abrams. The casting news will reunite Mitchell and Abrams, who served as executive producer of her previous series, 'Lost' on ABC.
Mitchell's character is described as "the compassionate and concerned long-absent mother of the show’s two young leads, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Danny (Graham Rogers), who set off on a dangerous cross-country journey."
REVOLUTION is set in a post-apocalypitc time period when "all electrical devices have stopped functioning and the United States is controlled by rival militias." The series will debut on NBC on Monday, September 17.
Mitchell portray Juliet on Lost. She has also appeared on the drama series 'V'. She has starred in such films as The Santa Clause 2, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, and Gia.
