This Sunday, Sept. 4, Longhorn Network kicks off its Texas football day-of-game coverage with exclusive programming surrounding the Notre Dame at Texas matchup airing on ABC at 6:30 p.m. CT. The day's schedule includes the first televised special on the newly selected living longhorn mascot, BEVO XV, at 5 p.m., prior to his first game and stadium debut.

The show, BEVO XV, is an unprecedented look at the newly minted mascot as he prepares to take on the heralded role as the world's largest live mascot. The special features his early days growing up on the ranch and behind-the-scenes footage of the Silver Spurs training the steer to fill the giant hooves of the many BEVO's before him. This season Texas is also celebrating the 100th anniversary of BEVO's towering presence at UT home games.

During halftime, viewers can review game stats on LHN's Texas Football Statcast and get a live look-in on BEVO XV with the network's dedicated BEVO cam. The special camera will stay with the longhorn through halftime, until the second half is underway.

In addition to BEVO XV's debut, former Texas head coach Mack Brown returns to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium as an ESPN analyst. Coach Brown will appear in COLLEGE FOOTBALL Countdown from the Texas GameDay set in the corner of the endzone at 3 p.m. The show also features Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Rece Davis, airing on ESPN and Longhorn Network.

Included in Sunday's COLLEGE FOOTBALL Countdown is a LHN-produced feature reported by ESPN's Jen Lada on former BEVO handler Cuyler Duncan. Duncan was diagnosed with terminal cancer in June and set a goal of living until the Notre Dame game. In the weeks since, Texas legends have rallied around Cuyler as he shows incredible Texas Fight.

The season premiere of Texas GameDay, the network's signature flagship pregame show, airs an hour before kick with LHN Anchor Lowell Galindo sharing the desk with Heisman Award winner Ricky Williams, BCS National Champion Vince Young and the debut of the show's newest analyst Emmanuel Acho. Alex Loeb will also contribute as reporter. The set will offer live insights pregame and also postgame with interviews immediately following the game on Texas GameDay Final. Today, the show debuted a new promotional spot entitled "Rookie Mistake" featuring the first look at the full team together.
