According to the report, another actress will be cast in the role. Representatives for Minnelli commented that the actress is a big fan of the show and that she is hoping to make a guest appearance in the future.  "Hot in Cleveland' also stars comedian Betty White and TV veterans Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.

Minnelli last starred on Broadway in Liza's at The Palace...! which earned a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event. Minnelli has won a total of three Tony Awards awards, including a Special Tony Award.
