Liv Tyler Takes First TV Role in THE LEFTOVERS for HBO

According to Deadline.com, Liv Tyler will star alongside Justin Theroux in Damon Lindelof's "The Leftovers" pilot for HBO, directed by Peter Berg.

The drama pilot is co-written by Lindelof and Tom Perrotta and is based on Perrotta's book of the same title, which follows a group of people left behind after the Rapture. Tyler is set to play 'Meg', a woman drawn to a cult while looking for an escape from her impending marriage.

This will be Tyler's first television appearance. She will next be seen on the big screen in Space Station 76, Jamie Marks Is Dead and The Side Effect. Tyler is well known for her role in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Other film credits include Super, The Incredible Hulk, The Strangers, Armageddon and more.
