Lionsgate Renews & Expands Long-Term Output Deal with Metropolitan Film in France

Reflecting its continued growth in key territories around the world, Lionsgate (NYSE:LGF), a premier next generation global content leader, has renewed its output agreement with Metropolitan Film Export for the distribution of Lionsgate films in France, the two companies announced today. The new agreement encompasses films that commence principal photography after January 1, 2016.

Lionsgate's partnership with Metropolitan encompasses a muscular portfolio of eagerly-anticipated blockbuster franchises, potential tent-poles and star-driven event films, including: Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed revenge thriller and Cannes Film Festival sensation Sicario; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the final chapter of one of the most successful film franchises of all time; the first live-action Saban's POWER RANGERS film; the epic fantasy adventure, The Odyssey, directed by Francis Lawrence and reuniting The Hunger Games creative team; and The Kingkiller Chronicle, a recently announced multiplatform property based on the worldwide, bestselling fantasy series of books.

The output arrangement with Metropolitan is managed by Crystal Bourbeau, Executive Vice President, International Sales, Lionsgate UK. The announcement is the latest in a series of new or renewed output deals around the world including Buena Vista International in Russia, StudioCanal in Germany, Nordisk in Scandinavia, and Belga in Benelux, among others, as Lionsgate continues to expand its global presence and worldwide distribution infrastructure.
