James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) will direct the film, which centers on Hillary's years as a lawyer in Washington, D.C. and her decision between focusing on her career there or returning to Arkansas to pursue her ex-boyfriend, Bill Clinton.
No word yet on who will portray Hillary.
Earlier this year, there was a flurry of rumors about Hillary Clinton miniseries in development for both NBC (starring Diane Lane) and CNN. The projects were dropped after the Republican National Committee said it would shut off both networks from the 2016 presidential debates if they moved forward.
