ETonline reports that troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested in New York City early this morning, Thursday, November 29. The arrest came after a "physical altercation" with another female at a club in New York.
Lohan's father Michael spoke to ET about the incident, which he claims could have been prevented were it not for the failure of his ex-wife Dina to participate in an intervention for their daughter last month. "I told you exactly what would happen and was trying to get Dina on board with me for a long time but especially the last two weeks," Lohan told ET exclusively. "If she had, I wish to God, she would stop and resolve things with us to do the same for our children."
He continued, "It's really sad that the same good people, like Gavin (Lindsay's assistant), are always there for her and the ones that care are the ones she hurts the most. She is in a dark place, it's in God's hands and I hope he deals with her appropriately."Lohan contends that the motive behind his daughter's actions are due to the fact that she is "acting out in numerous ways because she needs us and internally she's hurt and angry! Again, it's ALL on Dina."
According to WABC news, the actress was "released from jail this morning with a desk appearance ticket for third degree assault charges."
Lohan was most recently seen in the role of legendary screen star Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime original movie, 'Liz & Dick.'
