Lily Rabe Joins Cast of FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY

Lily Rabe has joined the cast of FX's drama "American Horror Story, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Rabe will play a former resident of the haunted house the series takes place in.

As first reported by E!, Rabe's character will share an "ungodly connection" with Connie Britton's Vivien Harmon, who lives in the home with husband Ben (Dylan McDermott).
 
From GLEE co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, "American Horror Story" revolves around Harmons, who move from Boston to Los Angeles to try to rebuild their family after an affair and miscarriage.

Rabe will play the original owner of the mansion and will appear in flashbacks. The 90-minute premiere is set for Oct. 5 on FX.

Rabe previously worked with Murphy when she guest starred on a 2008 episode of Nip/Tuck.

Her Off-Broadway and regional credits include Crimes of the Heart, Colder Than Here, Proof and The Crazy Girl. Film credits include All Good Things, Letters from the Big Man, Weakness, Aftermath, What Just Happened, The Toe Tactic, No Reservations, A Crime, Mona Lisa Smile and Never Again. TV credits include "Last of the Ninth," "Saving Grace," "Nip/Tuck," "Medium" and all three "Law & Order" series.
