Lifetime Television and actress-producer-director Demi Moore have entered into a multi-project development deal that includes the pick-up of the interview series The Conversation, hosted by British television personality and renowned photographer Amanda de Cadenet, and the development of scripted dramas for the network. The announcement was made today by Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks.

The Conversation will provide a refreshing and modern take on celebrity interviews as de Cadenet sits down with some of the world's most famous women to discuss topics universal to all women. Based on de Cadenet's popular web series, the hour-long program will feature intimate interviews with high-profile celebrity role models and every day women about a wide variety of topics, including sexuality, body image, career and finances, politics, relationships and human rights, among other subject matters. Lifetime has ordered eight episodes of The Conversation, which will be produced by decadenet, Inc. Moore and de Cadenet will serve as executive producers with Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and David Hillman of Lifetime Television. Andrew Fried (Iconoclasts) will co-executive produce.

In addition to The Conversation, Moore is developing two scripted dramas for Lifetime that she will executive produce.

"Demi is one of the most fascinating people in the world. She is both an icon and a modern woman who plays by her own rules. Not only am I inspired by that, I also am so excited to partner with her," said Dubuc. "Innovative, sincere and forthright about her approach to sharing a woman's point of view on life, Amanda, who created this show, is the perfect host and executive producer for this series."

Moore added, "Life is a tremendous balancing act and all too often we sit alone in our struggles to find solutions. The Conversation provides an intimate and inviting environment for women to share their challenges, provide insight into their own personal solutions and hopefully inspire others in the process. We hope that this is a forum where truly anything and everything can be discussed. Where women feel that they are no longer on the 'outside looking in' but are there connecting from the 'inside out!' I'm thrilled to have Lifetime as a partner in this endeavor as well as my other two projects already in development."

de Cadenet said, "The Conversation came from the many questions I was asking the women in my own life, whilst trying to manage being a mother to three kids and wife to my husband, maintain a career and not lose myself in all of it. Every woman should have access to the information and solutions we talk about on this show. The Conversation will open the doors on the universal language of women and allow them to do that."

As one of Hollywood's most sought-after actresses, Demi Moore's acting career took off in the 1980s, when she starred on the long-running daytime drama General Hospital. She went on to star in such iconic films as St. Elmo's Fire, A Few Good Men, Ghost, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure and G.I. Jane, naming a few. Following a brief hiatus away from Hollywood to raise her three daughters, Moore returned to the screen with her much-talked about role in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. She earned a Golden Globe(R) Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role as a single woman seeking a back-alley abortion in the 1950s set miniseries If These Walls Could Talk. The miniseries, which she also produced, also received an Emmy(R) Award nomination for Outstanding Made for Television Movie. Additionally, Moore is directing a film in the Lifetime Original Movie Project Five, an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people's lives. Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys and Film Independent Spirit Award-winner Patty Jenkins (Monster) have also been signed to direct the movie, which is being executive produced by Aniston, Marta Kauffman, Paula Wagner, Kristin Hahn, Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silvestri.

Amanda de Cadenet began her career at age of 14 as the host of the U.K. television shows, The Word and Breakfast. After becoming one of the U.K.'s best known personalities, she eventually decided that her true place was behind the camera, telling stories through images, and began taking pictures, launching a photography career that already spans nearly 20 years. She is the youngest woman to shoot a Vogue magazine cover and has photographed many of the most influential figures in popular culture for a portfolio of magazines as diverse as Vanity Fair, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Glamour, Harpers Bazaar and The New York Times Magazine. In 2005, she released her first book of photographs, Rare Birds, a ten-year retrospective that truly captured contemporary lifestyle on the cutting edge. She returns to television after a 15-year hiatus with The Conversation, a series of interviews addressing the universal needs of women and looking at the everyday struggles that women face.
