Leonardo DiCaprio will once again team up with director Martin Scorsese for the big screen adaptaton of Erik Larson's best-selling novel, The Devil in the White City, according to Deadline. Screenwriter Billy Ray is set to pen the project.
The 'Titanic' star will portray Dr HH Holmes, a serial killer who murdered hundreds of victims at his World's Fair Hotel in Chicago, nicknamed the 'Murder Castle'. The structure featured a gas chamber, dissection table and a crematorium. News of the project was confirmed after Paramount acquired the rights to Erik Larson's true crime book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness At The Fair That Changed America. In a competitive auction, the studio outbid Universal and FOX to secure the rights. The film will mark the sixth project that DiCaprio and Scorsese have worked on together.
