According to The Wrap, Lena Waithe will join the third season of HBO's Westworld. She joins previously announced Aaron Paul. Waithe's character details have yet to be revealed.
"Master of None" star Lena Waithe is joining HBO's "Westworld" in its Season 3, an individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap.
Waithe is known for winning an Emmy for co-writing an episode of "Master of None" titled "Thanksgiving. She has appeared on film in Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One," and she recently wrapped production on Melina Matsoukas-directed film "Queen & Slim," Waithe's writing feature debut.
Westworld's third season is not expected to air until 2020.
The story, based on the film written by Michael Crichton, is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. It's a Kilter Films and Bad Robot Production in association with Warner Bros. Television. "Westworld" is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis and Ben Stephenson.
