Fuse, the national music television network of The Madison Square Garden Company, announced today that Funny Or Die's Billy On The Street, starring comedian Billy Eichner, will return for a brand new season on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:00 p.m. ET. In 10 new, half-hour episodes, Billy Eichner will run rampant through the streets of New York City, quizzing unsuspecting pedestrians on their knowledge of music and pop culture.
Part game show, part comedy, Funny Or Die's Billy on the Street features Daytime Emmy(R) nominee, Billy Eichner, asking New Yorkers several different rounds of outrageous trivia questions, including a "subjective" final round where contestants must agree with Billy's opinions on music and pop culture in order to win. How far contestants advance in the game determines the amount of money and prizes they take home. Joining Eichner this season is a lineup of A-list celebrities including: Rachel Dratch, Lena Dunham, Neil Patrick Harris, Sean Hayes, Lindsay Lohan, Joel McHale, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, and more.
Audiences and media go crazy for Funny Or Die's Billy on the Street with The Daily Beast dubbing Billy "comedy's next big thing." Entertainment Weekly included Billy on the Street on its weekly "Must List" (two years in a row) and USA Today proclaimed that it is "like no game show you've ever seen." Recently, Eichner has had a recurring role as Craig on the hit comedy series Parks and Recreation. Eichner has also appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, CONAN, Watch What Happens Live, The Soup, The View, The Wendy Williams Show and more. In May 2013, Eichner was recognized for his hilarity by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a nomination for a Daytime Emmy in the "Outstanding Game Show Host" category.
Mike Farah, Funny Or Die's President of Production, Billy Eichner and Anna Wenger are executive producers.
