Lena Dunham has joined the cast of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Also joining the Quentin Tarantino film are Austin Butler, Lorenza Izzo, and Maya Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.
The film is set in Los Angeles in 1969 and follows Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), the former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), who are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don't recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor: Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
Also starring in the film are Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis, James Marsden and Luke Perry.
This film will be the first studio feature for Dunham, and the first time she's been onscreen since ending her HBO show GIRLS.
ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD is slated for a July 2019 release.
