Legion M, the world's first fan-owned entertainment company, is joining Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment for the upcoming thriller BAD SAMARITAN, starring David Tennant ("Doctor Who," "Jessica Jones", HARRY Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and Robert Sheehan (Mortal Engines, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, "The Umbrella Academy") and directed and produced by Devlin (Stargate, Independence Day, "Leverage", "The Librarians"), which debuts nationwide April 27th.

Legion M represents a community of 30,000 nationwide members, many of whom own shares in the company (fan-owners).

Through its fast-growing network of passionate fan-owners, Legion M will rally fans in support of the film by organizing community-oriented events, including opening weekend meetups, fan convention screenings, and more.

"After being completely blown away by BAD SAMARITAN, we knew immediately that this was a perfect project for us and a film the Legion would rally around enthusiastically," said Paul Scanlan, co-founder and CEO of Legion M. "Our community has demonstrated that when it invests in a project, our commitment goes well BEYOND a financial contribution. When the Legion jumps in, we go all in."

Jeff Annison, Legion M co-founder and president, added, "As a fan-owned company, we're constantly seeking projects that provide strong financial and emotional returns for our shareholders. It's wonderful to work with someone like Dean Devlin who understands and respects the power of fans, and we're eager to partner with him to get fans involved with BAD SAMARITAN."

Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, said, "Legion M is doing something that has never been seen in the industry, developing a unique and mutually beneficial partnership between filmmakers and fans. Having the Legion support BAD SAMARITAN is a big win for us and we cannot be more thrilled to have them come aboard."

BAD SAMARITAN is a terrifying cautionary tale of two thieves uncovering more than what they bargained for when breaking into a house they thought would be an easy score. After making a shocking discovery, they must choose to run and hide, or face the killer whose dark SECRETS they have exposed.

Founded in 2016, Legion M is a first-of-its-kind company conceived and created to be owned by fans. Legion M uses new equity crowdfunding laws enabled by the federal JOBS Act to give fans the opportunity to invest directly in an early stage entertainment company. Legion M has raised more than $3.5 million via equity crowdfunding, making it one of the most successful JOBS Act companies in history. The global Legion M community has grown to 30,000 members, including more than 7,000 fan-owners.

Legion M's slate of film, TV, digital and VR projects includes feature-film projects in various stages of development; multiple series for network, cable and digital TV; and a first-ever VR-based interview series. Legion M was an investor in the critically acclaimedColossal, starring Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis, and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, and the Sundance 2018 hit Mandy, starring Nicolas Cage, and directed by Panos Cosmatos. Legion M is planning a new offering in March 2018, continuing its mission of revolutionizing the way entertainment is made.
