John Hodge penned the screenplay which was adapted from sportswriter Walsh's book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit Of Lance Armstrong. The film follows "Armstrong's rise through the 1990s and early 2000s, his battle with cancer and his dominance of pro cycling."

Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce along with Tracey Seaward and Kate Solomon. Working Title's Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger will executive produce.

Pace will next appear on the big screen in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Hobbit: There and Back Again. His past screen credits include the first Hobbit film, Lincoln, When in Rome, A Single Man, and the TV series Pushing Daisies.

Pace has appeared on Broadway in The Normal Heart, for which he won a Drama Desk Award in 2011, as well as off-Broadway's Golden Age, Guardians, Small Tragedy, The Fourth Sister and The Credeaux Canvas.
