The Hollywood Reporter stopped by the set of Glee this week and asked cast members what they would like to see happen to their fictional alter egos in the show's sixth and final season.
Jane Lynch, who portrays manipulative McKinley High principal Sue Sylvester shared, "I'd love to have her do something serious in the way the kids do, where she sings a song because she can find no other way to express herself than in song. Sue hasn't had one of those."
Said Matthew Morrison, Glee's Will Schuester, "Getting to do some classic songs like Fred Astaire and Gene Kelley did was a dream come true. If I could have written a show for myself, this would have been it. I've gotten to use all the stuff I've been training my whole life to do. It's been amazing."
Commented busy actress Lea Michele, who recently released her debut solo album 'Louder,' "I'd like to do a whole episode in bed, where Rachel is sick and has to lay in bed in comfy clothes for an entire episode."
Darren Criss, who plays Blaine in the series, says he'd like to make it more of a family affair. "I would love to meet Blaine's parents," he reveals. "They've alluded to Blaine having some kind of daddy issues and it would be cool to see that. ... Blaine has been like five different characters so I'd like to have a parental story arc to understand why that happened."

Glee is a musical comedy about a group of ambitious and talented kids who escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a Glee club, where they find strength, acceptance and, ultimately, their voice. Last year's graduates and aspiring singers, RACHEL BERRY (Lea Michelle) and KURT HUMMEL (Chris Colfer), packed their bags for New York and enrolled at a prestigious performing arts school, NYADA, where they made new friends and learned the cruel realities of college. These naïve freshmen moved into a Brooklyn loft, signed up for internships, auditioned for Broadway shows and gained a roommate when SANTANA LOPEZ (Naya Rivera) moved to the Big Apple.
Since its debut, Glee has become a bona fide cultural phenomenon, received prestigious honors, including a Golden Globe Award and a Peabody Award, and singlehandedly made Glee clubs cool again. The series boasts critical acclaim, a die-hard fan base, two Grammy Award nominations, two platinum and five gold albums, more than 43 million songs and more than 13 million albums sold worldwide, two sold-out concert tours, a 3-D movie and four Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes, including the award for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical.
Glee has attracted A-list guest stars, from Gwyneth Paltrow to Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker. This season, Demi Lovato (THE X FACTOR) guest-stars as "Dani," a New York-based struggling artist and friend of Rachel and Santana's.
