The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Lainie Kazan will guest star in several episodes of ABC's primetime soap opera "Desperate Housewives."
Kazan will play the entrepreneurial neighbor of Teri Hatcher's character (Susan) and will begin her stint on the season's premiere, September 26, 2010. This seventh season of "Desperate Housewives" has also added Brian Austin Green and Vanessa Williams in recurring roles.
Lainie Kazan garnered a Tony Award nomination for her role in 'My Favorite Year'. Broadway credits include 'Funny Girl', 'Bravo Gionavnni' and 'The Happiest Girl in the World'. Other theatrical credits include 'A Little Night Music', 'Man of La Mancha', 'Gypsy', 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?', 'Hello, Dolly!' and 'Fiddler on the Roof'. She has appeared in various films, including 'Beaches', 'The Associate', 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan', 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and 'Oy Vey My Son is Gay'.
