Mercedes was one of them, but her parents, who were seated with her, did not survive. She was severely injured and, after extensive physical therapy and remarkable determination, Mercedes finished college and turned her loss into inspiration. She started speaking to groups about how to overcome the obstacles that life throws at you. Mercedes resides in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and has been married for 13 years to her husband, Chris, with whom she shares two sets of twin boys. She has prevailed in the face of adversity, but as she was bedridden after the crash and surviving on feeding tubes, she began a love affair with the food she could not have. "The Revolution" team will not only share tips on losing weight and gaining energy to keep up with the boys in her life, but they will also help her face her past.
