Wayne Brady, the multi-talented performer, says being bullied for a childhood stuttering problem helped form his skills as an entertainer, in an interview for CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH Charles Osgood to be broadcast Feb. 17, 2013 on the CBS Television Network.

Brady, the host of CBS's LET'S MAKE A DEAL, tells Lee Cowan that the stuttering problem was so bad he often stayed silent rather than face the bullying.

"I'm going to shut up, then you can't make fun of me," Brady recalls of his childhood. "Either you break under that pressure as a kid, because bullying is no joke, or you learn to take it and give it back and do it in a way that gets a positive response."

Brady talks with Cowan about the 50th anniversary of LET'S MAKE A DEAL and the advice he's gotten from former host Monty Hall, his ability to entertain in a variety of genres, and how he cried when he got a nomination for his first CD, "A Long Time Coming."

"I see myself as the guy that can do whatever you want him to do," says Brady, who won Emmys both for his comedy and his skill as talk show host. "There are so many things that I cannot do. But this stuff? The entertaining, the singing, the improv, the dancing, the comedy, the drama, the writing music, the being able to perform it, the sketch writer - I've got those."

Cowan's interview with Brady will be broadcast Feb. 17, 2013 on CBS SUNDAY MORNING (9:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
