Synopsis: Coming home to a broken marriage and uncertain future, haunted war veteran Anthony Hayward (Martin Papazian) drinks to forget the pain, and finally reaches the end of his rope. Yet when his troubled ten year-old neighbor, Wade (Tristan Lake Leabu), suffers a tragedy and calls out for help, Anthony can't seem to turn away. To the dismay of the boy's embattled social worker (Laura San Giacomo), Anthony takes Wade under his wing and they set out on an ill-fated trip to find Wade's father, who may not even exist. As the two establish a fragile bond, Anthony must find the strength to face his demons, clean up his life, and become the man that Wade needs.
