LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Is No. Late Night Program in First Quarter of 2017

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was late night's #1 program during the first quarter of 2017, according to Nielsen most current first quarter ratings. THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.29 million viewers, out-delivering "The Tonight Show" (3.03m) by +260,000 viewers after trailing by -840,000 viewers last year. Compared to the first quarter last year, THE LATE SHOW was up +17% (from 2.82m). This marks CBS' first late night win in the first quarter since 2010.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, a production of The Late Show Inc., airs weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart are the executive producers.

Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more. Featuring bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human, the show is broadcast from the historic and newly renovated Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
