According to The Hollywood Reporter, X FACTOR Judge L.A. Reid has officially signed a deal to return for season two of the Fox singing competition.
Last week, it was announced that the show's judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger as well as host Steve Jones would not be asked back to the show for a second season.
According to the report, the chairman of Epic Records signed a contract last Friday. Reid seemed to be the only judge that viewers connected with and was often praised for his honest, though sometimes harsh critiques of the contestants.
Last weeks, rumors circulated that Simon Cowell had offered superstar Beyonce a $100 million deal to join the judge's panel on his show. Mariah Carey has also been in the mix of possible replacements on the show's upcoming season.
