Los Angeles, CA -- StandOut Productions and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center present a one-night-only salute to director Andrea Meyerson's first fim, Lauging Matters, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its release. The award-winning movie features the hilarious on-stage comedy acts of Kate Clinton, Marga Gomez, Suzanne Westenhoefer, and Karen Williams, as well as revealing one-on-one interviews. Laughing Matters has been broadcast on Here TV, Viacom's Logo Network, and Canada's Astral Network.
This will be the groundbreaking film's first Los Angeles screening in 10 years. Immediately following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with director Meyerson and three of the film's stars: Marga Gomez, Suzanne Westenhoefer, and Karen Williams. Yes, all three comics will be attending LIVE in person!
Following the film-and what promises to be the most hilarious panel discussions ever-VIP ticket holders are invited to attend a hosted reception with the comics.

About Andrea Meyerson/StandOut Productions: Andrea Meyerson is an award-winning creator of film and television programming as well as a successful producer of concerts and live comedy shows. As founder and president of StandOut Productions she has produced and directed nearly 30 feature films, television specials and series episodes which have aired on Showtime, Viacom's Logo Network and several Canadian networks.
In 2002, Meyerson produced and directed the award-winning comedy documentary Laughing Matters. The success of the critically acclaimed film spawned three sequels. All are available on DVD and continue to be rebroadcast on TV.
Meyerson began creating original television programming in 2007. She produced and directed numerous standup comedy specials featuring popular comics such as Niecy Nash, Alec Mapa, Kate Clinton, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Jessica Kirson, and many others. She also created the One Night Stand Up series for Viacom's Logo Network, delivering 10 episodes, each showcasing a group of diverse comics.
In 2012 Meyerson completed the full-length documentary I Stand Corrected, which she produced and directed. The film premiered at the American Documentary Film Festival in April 2012 where it won the Audience Award for Best Film. Still playing at film festivals worldwide, I Stand Corrected has won a total of ten audience and/or jury awards and continues to receive outstanding reviews.
Meyerson is also a prolific producer of live comedy shows and concerts. Since founding StandOut Productions in 1997, she has staged live events featuring some of the country's best-known entertainers, including Wanda Sykes, Roseanne Barr, k.d. lang, Indigo Girls, Joan Armatrading, and Brandi Carlile.
Meyerson has just completed two documentaries: Letter to Anita and Vickie Shaw: I'm Not Your Role Model, which are scheduled to be released later this year. She is in production on a short documentary entitled The Taxman and Clambake, a feature-length documentary offering an insightful look into the 30-year history of Women's Week in Provincetown.
