Kyle MacLachlan Will Play FDR in ATLANTIC CROSSING

According to The Hollywood Reporter, TWIN PEAKS star Kyle MacLachlan will join Norwegian series Atlantic Crossing. He will play American president Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The eight-part series tells the true story of the relationship between President Roosevelt and Norwegian Crown Princess Martha, who fled the Nazi invasion of Norway, sought refuge in America, and eventually lived at the White House. During her time in the U.S., the princess and the president became close and many historians credit the relationship with helping to convince Roosevelt to bring America into World War 2.

Swedish actress Sofia Helin (The Bridge) plays Princess Martha.

Alexander Eik created the series and directs. He penned the script with Linda May Kallestein.
